Greetings

We're not new to the area, most of us are members of the Quad County Snowmobile Club.

We are familiar with all the trails and will continue the work of Mount Jefferson Backcountry Riders.
They're still an active club and will continue to maintain trails west of Springfield.

We're hoping to get some young blood out on the maintenance crews, not the social security crew that does most of the work on sledding trails.

We meet the second Monday of every month at 6PM in Springfield.

Our club's name may be familiar to some in the area. We resurrected the name from the club that was based out of Lakeville. That club was created somewhere around 2001 - 2002. Pam Turcotte was kind enough to provide some information. She and her husband Joe were founding members and filed the paperwork (register) with the State to get things rolling. In their heyday they had approximately 100 members comprised of year round and seasonal camp owners. They maintained approximately 82 miles of trails working with landowners striving to connect with adjacent clubs trails east, west, north and south. They were lucky to have approximately 20 people that would help with maintaining the trails.

Pat and Joe moved out of lakeville and couldn't find anyone to take over the club. They processed the paperwork with the State to close the club which was around 2015.

Hopefully Pat can come up with more info and possibly some photos.

Mike and Lee Lamoureux were also original club founding member. Mike was kind enough to forward pictures of one of their outings to Nicatous Lodge.
